Fun activities to enjoy
A few things to help you before you book
Booking is easy! For groups of 18 and under, simply collate your guest list, choose a date and time that works best for you, select up to two activities and you're all set to jump on our online booking system.
The system will guide you through the process enabling you to add all your party requirements including your choice of food and drink and will automatically calculate the total costs based on your choices.
We have a great range of food and drink on offer to enjoy while you play - simply choose what you want and the total cost will be calculated during the booking process. If you decide not to add food or drinks during your booking, there is a minimum spend requirement of £15 per person which will be allocated to your booking for you to spend on food and drink during your event.
Before you confirm your booking, make sure you've double checked all the details including the date, time, number of guests and any food and drink required as you won't be able to make any changes once your event has been paid for.
Once you're happy to proceed, simply confirm you booking and once payment has been processed you'll be sent a link with your booking confirmation which will enable you to manage all the details of your event in our party portal.
You'll need to input all your details 7 days before the date of your party and a member of our team will be in touch a few days before to run through your itinerary and check there's nothing missing to ensure your event runs smoothly on the day.
Cancellations & Amendments
What's your cancellation policy for kids parties and events?
Cancelling at least 14 days before the booking
If you wish to cancel your booking you can receive a refund by logging into the party booking system. You can either receive 75% refund back to you credit or debit card or you can receive 100% value of the booking in credits applied to your myLight account which you can use to pay for anything online including booking another party.
Cancelling less than 14 days before the booking:
Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund in this instance. However, you will still be able to reschedule your party to another date, subject to availability. If you need any assistance, please contact us at help@thelight.co.uk.
Rescheduling your booking
Our party booking system allows you to reschedule the date and time of your existing booking up to 3 days before the event. Simply log-in to the system and select the booking to see if there is an available slot. You can only reschedule your event once. Should you need to do this more than once, you will need to contact us at help@thelight.co.uk.
Am I able to amend my booking?
Our party booking system allows you to reschedule the date and time of your existing booking up to 3 days before the event. We are however unable to make changes to the type of activity or the number of people in your party - in this situation you would need to cancel and rebook. To change the date or time of your booking, log-in to the system and select the booking to see if there is an available slot. You can only reschedule your event once. Is there a minimum spend requirement?
For our group bookings under 18 people, we require a minimum of £15.00 per person to be spent on food and drink which will be added at the time of booking. This does not apply to children's party bookings.
Is full payment required for my booking?
At the time of your booking, full payment needs to be made for your chosen activities and any food and drink choices to secure your booking.
Can I get a refund if one of my guests isn't able to come?
Unfortunately not, once payment is made for your booking, refunds cannot be made. If you wish to cancel due to changes to your booking, please check our refund policy.
Food and drink
What food is available for kids parties?
Our delicious kids meal includes a choice of mouthwatering beef burger, fish burger, freshly made margherita or pepperoni pizza or chicken strips, perfectly crispy waffle fries, ice cream and squash for your group. Specific food choices can be made through our party portal and all choices need to be selected 3 days before the date of your booking
What food do you offer for group bookings?
We offer a delicious range of mouthwatering platters which are perfect for sharing and enjoying while you play. We also offer a selection of wines, Prosecco, beers and soft drinks.
Are you able to provide a cake?
Unfortunately we're not able to provide a cake, but we're happy for you to bring your own and will provide supervised use of a knife for cake cutting. Simply add a note in the Special Requirements section when you are booking and if you bring it on the day, our team will be happy to assist you. You can light candles but please no sparklers or relightable candles.
Are you able to cater for specific dietary requirements?
We are able to accommodate a variety of dietary requirements by offering gluten-free pizzas, vegan cheese at no additional cost. Should you have a specific requirement, please state under Special Requirements section when you book.
Can we set up a bar tab?
Yes, of course. For bookings through our party booking system there is an option to set up a bar tab for your group and which will need to be paid for at the time of the booking. Please note that a minimum spend of £15 per person on food and drink is required for all group bookings . This does not apply to kids party bookings.
Is there a party table available to book with my event?
A dedicated party table/s will be allocated as part of your bookings. For children's parties, party banners and balloons will be provided but feel free to bring your own or additional decorations if you wish to.

Bookings
How do I book a party or group?
Booking is easy with our online booking system which allows you to get a quote, book your party and manage your guests all at the touch of a button. Simply collate your guest list, choose a date and time that works for you and click here to get started! Our booking system will guide you through the process. For any bookings larger than 18, please fill out our enquiry form.
What is the maximum number of people I can book a party or group for?
We require a minimum of 7 people for kids parties and 8 for Group bookings and a maximum of 18 depending on the activity you are booking for. Any group size larger than this will need to speak to one of our team at events@thelight.co.uk who can create a bespoke package tailored to your requirements.
Do I have to pay up front for my party or event?
We require full payment at the time of booking to secure your event which can be made on our party booking system or for larger group bookings over 18 people, speak to a member of our team.
Can we pay a deposit and pay the rest on the night?
We're afraid not, we require full payment for your party or event to be pre paid along with any additional items that have been pre-ordered.
How close to the booking can we add someone on?
We are unable to accommodate any changes to guest numbers once the booking has been confirmed. Please speak to one of our team on chat or email help@thelight.co.uk to discuss further
How many activities can you book?

What is the hosting fee charge for?
A hosting fee of £2 per person will be added to all Group Bookings. This covers a host to meet and greet your group and to make sure your party runs smoothly. In addition, a table will be allocated to your party for one hour to enjoy your food and drinks.
Do you provide decorations or should we bring our own?
For children's parties, we decorate the party tables with banners but if you feel you want to bring additional decorations, we are happy for you to do this.
How long are the activities?
Each activity varies in duration. Please check out the details of our activities here.
How long is the party table or event space provided for?
A table will be allocated to your group for one hour to enjoy your food and drinks.
Am I able to book or pay in the venue?
All bookings need to be made through the online booking system. Our teams onsite are unable to process bookings or take payment.
What time must I arrive before my booking and where do I go?
We recommend 30 minutes prior to your booking to avoid any delays. Please make your way to the leisure desk where your party host will greet you.
What can I do if I'm running late?
Our activities are booked on a time system so unfortunately we are unable to move timings at the last minute.
Can we stay longer at the table if we need to?
We can only guarantee you the allocated time of one hour for your table but if you speak to a member of our team on the day, we will endeavour to assist where possible.
Can I speak to someone about my booking?
Bookings can only be made online but if you have any questions, you can speak to a member of our team through CHAT or email help@thelight.co.uk.
How will I be able to manage my booking through your party booking system?
Our easy to use Party Portal enables you to manage your booking from start to finish and to keep on top of all your party organisation in one place. You can manage your guest list and food choices or invite your guests to input these details themselves. As soon as your booking is confirmed, we'll send you a link to the portal and you can get start your party planning!
Children's Parties
What's the maximum age for a kids party?
Our kids parties are perfect for children from 4 years of age and under 12. All our activities are suitable for this age group.
Can we come in early and decorate the table
We will try and accommodate where possible but we are unable to make any guarantees.
What are the supervision requirements?
It's the responsibility of adults attending to supervise the children in their party. Our requirements are as follows : for children under 8 there should be a minimum of 1 adult per 4 children and for children over 8 years and under 12 years of age there should be 1 adult per 8 children.
Do you provide invitations?
For kids parties, we offer invitations to make your party even more special. Once you've booked, you'll be sent a link to our party portal where as well as managing all the details of your booking, you'll be able to download or send your invites to your group.

Where do I park?
Is there somewhere to leave our belongings while we doing the activity?
You must keep your personal belongings with you at all times. We accept no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage to any personal belongings bought in to the venue.
